In Pressure Dependent VAV Model VAV-GB-21/22 , the room thermostat modulates the VAV box damper directly to control the space temperature. This requires that the duct static pressure be maintained at designated levels so that enough air pressure is available to cool the room.
The terminal unit damper is positioned from a signal sent directly from the zone thermostat to the damper actuator without regard for system conditions. In a pressure dependent system, two zones on the same system are effected by the control of one another.
